Ranchito Galería — Art That Saves Lives

Ranchito Galería is a nonprofit art gallery and shop at 848 S Camino del Pueblo in Bernalillo, New Mexico, operated by Emergency Services Outreach, Inc., a 501(c)(3). The galería opens August 2026 and features handmade work by New Mexico artists — paintings, lanterns, handmade clothing, and artisan goods — alongside books and select handmade imports from Mexico and Latin America. Every purchase funds Ranchito de la Redención, a wellness retreat for first responders and trauma-impacted communities.

What You'll Find

An eclectic, rotating collection in an old adobe on Bernalillo's historic Main Street — the feel of Old Town Albuquerque without the crowds:

We honor the Indian Arts and Crafts Act: work by enrolled members of federally recognized tribes is clearly labeled and distinguished from other Indigenous artisans' work, so you always know exactly whose hands made what you're holding.

Ranchito Galería exists for one reason: to fund the mission. Proceeds support the Ranchito de la Redención retreat and free or low-cost life-saving training across our community. When you take home a painting, you're also helping a firefighter, medic, or dispatcher find rest and recovery.

For Artists — Consignment & Donations

We welcome submissions from New Mexico artists and artisans. Selection is curated by our gallery committee with published criteria and a rotating exhibition cadence, so the collection stays fresh and every artist gets real wall time.

Getting in is three steps

  1. Submit — send 3–5 photos of your work, sizes, and your asking prices through our contact form (use subject "Artist Submission"). Five minutes, no fees.
  2. Committee review — our gallery committee reviews on a rolling basis. If it's not a fit this rotation, we'll say so honestly — "not this round" isn't "never."
  3. Deliver & sign — bring your work in, we record your delivery date, sign a plain-language consignment agreement on the spot, and your 90-day 60% window starts that day.

  • Consignment: artists receive 50% of every sale — and 60% on anything sold within the first 90 days after we take delivery of your work. ESO's share funds our nonprofit programs, and we actively market your work in the gallery, online, and at our events.
  • Donated work: fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; we'll provide an acknowledgment letter.

Is my purchase tax-deductible?

No — purchases of art and goods are not donations. If you'd like to make a deductible gift, visit our Donate page or add a donation at checkout.

Do you accept donated artwork?

Yes. Donated art is reviewed by our gallery committee and sold to fund our programs; donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How do I become a consignment artist?

Submit photos of your work through our contact form. Our committee reviews submissions on a rolling basis using published selection criteria.
