Amanda DeLara
Amanda DeLara is a Hispanic contemporary artist, born and raised in New Mexico, with more than twenty years at the easel. She works mainly in acrylic on canvas, and her paintings are a celebration of culture, heritage, and her own imagination.
Her subject is cultural continuity: the earth tones and wide skies of the high desert, the strength and spirituality of her community, stories handed down through generations, and the lasting beauty of New Mexican tradition — all reworked in a bold, modern Southwest style, rich in color and layered in texture.
Her work has shown in galleries and juried exhibitions and lives in private collections. She paints from her studio in New Mexico, the state that shaped both her identity and her art.
See her work in person at Ranchito Galería, 848 S Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo. Open Fri–Sat 10–6, Sun 11–4.
