Bleys Lee
Bleys Lee was born in Santa Fe and was drawn to art from an early age.
He moved from drawing to painting and found his home when he started working in metal. For more than nine years he apprenticed under the sculptor Frank Andrews, learning Andrews' signature copper-welding technique, then built on that foundation to make new work and bring in copper, iron, bronze, and brass.
Today he carries on his mentor's legacy — fabricating the classic welded-copper petroglyph-style wall sculptures collectors know, alongside new pieces and one-of-a-kind custom objects. Every piece is handcrafted and welded by Bleys at FAS Fabrication and built to last for generations.
