Our Mission

A New Mexico where those who answer the call — and those still finding theirs — have a place to heal, learn, and create.

Emergency Services Outreach educates, heals, and strengthens the communities it serves. We bring lifesaving and public-safety education to responders and the public; peer support and nature-based healing to first responders, healthcare workers, public servants, youth, and others carrying trauma; the living arts and cultures of New Mexico to a welcoming public; and practical help to neighbors in their hardest moments.

What We Do — Four Programs, One Mission

  • Education Outreach

    ASHI, AHA, PEPP, and public-education courses for first responders and community members — lifesaving knowledge and skills, today and as our program roster grows.

  • Wellness & Resilience Outreach

    Ranchito de la Redención, a nature-based retreat in Torrance County, for first responders, healthcare workers, public servants, youth, and trauma-affected communities — peer support, equine connection, and land-based healing.

  • Arts & Culture Outreach

    Ranchito Galería, our Bernalillo gallery and shop preserving the living arts and cultures of New Mexico. Art that saves lives: proceeds help fund the retreat.

  • Community & Youth Outreach

    Direct support for vulnerable neighbors, including families displaced by fire, and ET:Rising, connecting young people with first responders, nature, and aerospace and other career pathways.

Why Choose ESO for CPR

ESO offers American Heart Association CPR and certification classes in Bernalillo, New Mexico, serving the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho metro. BLS and Heartsaver classes cost $55, and ACLS and PALS renewals cost $175. Classes run on weekday evenings and Sundays — times most training centers don't offer — and students receive their AHA eCard the same day. All instructors are working EMS professionals, and because ESO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, class revenue directly funds first responder mental health programs.

How much does BLS certification cost in Albuquerque?

BLS certification at ESO costs $55 and includes the same-day AHA eCard. Classes are held in Bernalillo, about 20 minutes north of Albuquerque, on weekday evenings and Sundays.

Are there evening ACLS classes near Albuquerque?

Yes. ESO runs evening ACLS courses in Bernalillo — ACLS renewal is $175 and the initial course is $245. Multi-evening formats let working clinicians certify without missing a shift.

How long is a CPR certification card valid?

AHA certification cards (BLS, Heartsaver, ACLS, PALS) are valid for two years from the class date.
